Cuiabá is the Capital City of the State of Mato Grosso. It was founded in 1719 by Bandeirantes seeking gold and slaves. Cuiabá is a base for excursions into the Northern Pantanal and to the Chapada dos Guimarães, the Guimarães Tableland. Second only to the Pantanal, the Guimarães Tablelands are another leading attraction. These rocky highlands are 800 meters above sea level and 64 km Northeast from Cuiabá.

Transfers in & out:
Guests will be met at airport and taken to their hotels. On the ride to it, you will pass by some points of interest, and the tour guide will describe the offers and attractions of Cuiabá.

Half-day city tour:
You will visit the main sites of the city. You will see the fish market, the arts and crafts center, called Casa do Artesão, the Indian Museum, which has exhibits of the Xavantes, Bororos and Karajás tribes, and the University, with its fascinating mini-zoo and unique collection of Pantanal animal-life.

Full-day Transpantaneira tour:
You will depart from the hotel on a tour heading for the Pantanal on a tour via the Transpantaneira Road. You will be driven to the Pixaim River. This tour is a great opportunity to photograph the fauna and flora of the Pantanal along the way. You will eat lunch at Hotel Beira Rio. In the afternoon, the tour continues until the end of the day, when you will return to Cuiabá.

Full-day Chapada dos Guimarães tour:
Leaving from the hotel, you will enjoy a 4/6-hour discovery tour of the region, stopping at the main sites of Chapada dos Guimarães: Portão do Inferno, Véu de Noiva waterfall and Salgadeiras. Rich in waterfalls, water springs and a large variety of medicinal plants, the Chapada, belonging to the Cerrado (bush-savanna) ecosystem, and it is a must to see for a complete Pantanal visit. You may have the opportunity to see some of its local species. A panoramic view is offered from the South Geodesic Center. This tour also includes lunch and a return trip to Cuiabá.
